Osteopathy

DIY, decorating and your neck

Ceilings, rollers and a weekend of looking up — a very Hartley Wintney osteopathy pattern.

Symptoms and what they can mean

A stiff neck on Sunday night after a ceiling. Looking up is a small range asked to work like a crane. The thorax should help. Often it does not.

What we can do in clinic

I treat the neck and upper back and we talk about breaks, a roller extension pole, and not doing the whole landing in one heroic day.

Red flags and when to see your GP

A fall from a ladder, or neck pain with neurological signs, is A&E. Paint is not worth a spinal injury.
