Pain on kicking, cutting, or getting out of the car. Several structures live in a small neighbourhood. Naming it “a groin strain” without examining the hip is guesswork.
I examine hip, pubic region and lumbar spine. Osteopathy can help mechanical contributors. Sports hernias and true hip impingement are not treated with optimism alone.
A painful bulge, fever, or testicular pain is medical or urgent. Do not be shy — say it in the history.
