Acupuncture

Acupuncture for digestive discomfort

Bloating, cramping and a gut that follows stress — what Kyla Phillips can reasonably offer, and what needs a GP first.

Symptoms and what they can mean

A gut that swells by 4pm, cramps that follow a difficult meeting, nausea that has been “just stress” for months. Food, medicines and mood all sit in the history.

What we can do in clinic

Chinese medicine looks at pattern: cold, heat, stagnation — language for regulation. Needles, sometimes moxa. I will not treat an undiagnosed weight-loss gut as a lifestyle issue.

Red flags and when to see your GP

Blood in the stool, black stools, dropping weight, or swallowing that sticks — GP urgently. Acupuncture is not a colonoscopy.
